Getting to Niseko

Niseko is located in Hokkaido and is approximately 3 hours from Sapporo. Niseko can be accessed in several ways, depending on where you're coming from. If you have any questions regarding transfers or would like to book any of the services, as part of your Japan Powder Ski Holidays package, please don't hesitate to contact us.

From New Chitose Airport

  • Hokkaido Resort Liner services are direct to Niseko and leave multiple times throughout the day and early evening which are of great value. They make the transfer easy after your flight, where you can sit back and enjoy the scenery as you head to Niseko. It is the most convenient way to arrive and the journey takes 2.5-3 hours, depending on the en route weather conditions and the conditions on the road. Reservations are required 7 days prior.
  • Private Shuttle or Taxi a driver will meet you with a sign with your name on it at the arrivals section of New Chitose Airport and will then take you directly to your accommodation in Niseko, which is ideal for larger groups and families.
  • Travelling by train from New Chitose Airport can be done, however, we don't recommend it as it requires making 2 changes (Sapporo and Otaru) before arriving at Kutchan Station or Niseko Station, depending on which part of Niseko you're staying in. If you're staying in Hirafu or Hanazono areas, then Kutchan Station is closer, for those staying in the An'nupuri and Niseko Village area, we recommend stopping at Niseko Station.
